Caitlin is serving LSEM as Donor Relations Specialist, where she works in Development to fundraise, plan events, produce newsletters and communications, and manage LSEM’s database.
After attending Lutheran grade and high schools, she received her bachelor’s degree from Hillsdale College in 2009, double majoring in English and Theater. She spent a year working at her local library and then moved to Toledo, where she obtained her master’s in English Literature from The University of Toledo in 2012. Her time in Toledo saw her teach composition classes for the university, project manage and edit for the University of Toledo Press, and teach summer reading classes for children and adults in Ohio and neighboring states which continued after graduation. Upon returning to Michigan, she worked briefly as a contractor for BCBSM in Detroit. Caitlin expected to be unemployed for a while so she dyed her hair purple – a bucket list wish. A month later, she was told about a position open at LSEM, where she was incredibly nervous to interview with such unconventional hair.
She is a homebody who also loves to travel internationally, has 2 cats, and is a voracious reader. Her personal library is nearing 700 books and counting. Whatever will she do with them all if one day she follows that dream and moves to Scotland?
