Stacy McGhee – President/CEO
In her role as president and CEO, Stacy McGhee brings a wealth of professional experience in education and executive leadership to LSEM.
Born and raised in Detroit, MI, Stacy completed her entire education in Lutheran schools, from first grade through college. Her commitment to Lutheran education continued when she earned her degree in Elementary Education from Concordia University Wisconsin in 1996.
She has earned graduate credits in Special Education and Education Administration. She has spent her professional life serving various congregations in the Michigan District – LCMS as a teacher, early childhood director, and principal. Stacy was honored as the Michigan District Principal of the Year in 2013-2014, completed the Van Lunen Fellowship Program for executive management in education in 2014 and was selected by the Lutheran Education Association’s board of directors to receive LEA’s top honor, the Christus Magister Award in 2019.
Stacy currently resides in Brighton, MI and has a daughter, Emily and son, Jacob.
