Wow Wednesdays - Stories from the Classroom

I have one little guy in 2nd grade who was tested and found to have a learning disability that involves his short-term memory. I have worked with him as a student in Kindergarten for two years. Retaining the names of the letters of the alphabet and their sounds has been a very difficult process for him with much being lost every summer. This year, on returning to school, Ee and Gg were the only two sounds he didn’t know. And finally, today, for the very first time, he remembered both sounds! This is a breakthrough for him, to finally know the whole alphabet. The world is his oyster now. Definitely a WOW for him!
