LSEM Helps Establish Standards

LSEM has been blessed with the opportunity to start more than 20 new partnership school programs over the past 3 years. One of those new programs is at Central Lutheran School in New Haven, IN.

Sometimes, the biggest challenge is just establishing a baseline for those who need help. Many schools do not necessarily have a standardized way of integrating and addressing the specialized needs of its student body. LSEM partners with these schools to provide them with the tools and resources they need.

According to Central’s principal, John Weber, “Prior to LSEM, we had a program for students, but we didn’t have a formalized process of identification and RTI [response to intervention]. Our LSEM teacher has implemented such a process and it has made our program very efficient and efficacious.”

With measures and standards in place, an LSEM program benefits all students in the school. Those who need additional classroom assistance receive the attention they require for successful learning. It also benefits the rest of the general education students by providing a more balanced classroom experience.

So far, Mr. Weber reports that, “It has been a fantastic program” and is “exceeding” expectations. We’re so glad to work together with Central Lutheran School to serve ALL of God’s children!
