Power of Intervention
I am excited by the growth of all my amazing students. I believe this year has shown me the amazing power of intervention and working together with the general education teachers. At the beginning of the year, we had ten third graders who were reading well below grade level. The general education teacher and I decided to do a combination of team teaching and pull out intervention. After two quarters of intervention, I am down to only 4 students below grade level. Of these 4, two now have an education plan. It is so exciting to see how important intervention is to both help students catch up and to assist in data to allow students to be tested for a disability.
